When you contact me via my website, phone or email, I will respond and set up a time for us to chat briefly by telephone. On this 10-15 minute call, you will also have an opportunity to ask questions. I will also ask you about the following.
- what you are looking for and how I might be able to help
- schedule – to be sure that I can see you at times that are most convenient for you
- insurance and payment
If you decide you want to go ahead and set up a time to meet, I will send you an email link to my Client Portal. When you get the email from me, you will enter your demographic and insurance information into the HIPAA-compliant electronic system. There will also be documents to complete.
When this is complete, I will check your insurance benefits (if applicable). I will then contact you via email with information I get from your insurance company about the cost per session, deductible, etc. I always recommend that you check with your insurance company to confirm this information and/or to check that I am in-network with them if that is important to you.
I will bill your insurance for you if I am in-network with your plan and, with some insurers, I can bill for out of network benefits as well. If I cannot, I will provide you with a superbill at the end of each month for you to submit on your own.
Please plan to bring your photo ID and insurance card to your first appointment.
